Interesting interview with my good friend Doug Hayward. https://www.youtube.com/lucycoleman Douglas Hayward has been practicing and teaching yoga since 1994, having began his practice at an unoffcial Bikram Studio in West Reading Pennsylvania. Interestingly enough; Yoga Alliance got its start at the same studio around the same time. I was very fortunate to have many instructors during the three years I practiced in West Reading. The list is a little long so bear with me. Mary Ann Blefko, Sarita Rocco, Doe Wails, Joel Pier, JoAnn Morrell, Bikram Choudhury, Rajashree Choudhury, Jimmy Barkan, Erich Schiffmann, Bri Maya Tiwari, and Rama Berch. All these folks came to the studio I was practicing at in West Reading which saved me a lot of trips! After 3 years I was accepted into Yoga Alliance on an Independant Study Tract. I decided to go to State College PA to Teach yoga. And teach I did!.
